The 7.62×39 Magwell, for use with our modular lower receiver, allows the operator to utilize standard AK-47 Warsaw Pact steel magazines and Thermold polymer magazines. This magwell was designed to be used with HYDRA’s modular lower receiver and HYDRA’s QCB (Quick Change Barrel) upper receiver. Using the magazines designed for the specific caliber ensures trouble free feeding, something that has always been problematic in other caliber conversions. Magazines eject with 1 hand instead of 2 hands like a typical AK-47 by dropping straight down on release. This mag-well is a drop-on accessory for use with our modular lower receiver. No tools required to make the change in less than 1-minute. There is no need to change any other parts in the lower receiver allowing the operator to maintain the same trigger feel as normal.
