Quantity
The Hydra AK-74 Magwell adds AK-74 magazine compatibility to the Hydra modular lower receiver platform. It works with both Hydra Quick Change Barrel and Hydra fixed-barrel upper receivers when paired with the required compatible components.
Compatibility Requirements
This magwell requires a dedicated bolt carrier group designed to provide clearance for AK-74 magazines. A standard bolt carrier group should not be assumed compatible.
Hydra will publish additional compatibility and fitment information. Review those requirements before assembling or operating your configuration.
Recommended Magazines
We recommend Bulgarian AK-74 magazines for the most consistent reliability. Other AK-74 magazines may fit and function, but compatibility and reliability can vary by manufacturer and magazine design.
